What is BSTI/ Definition BSTI
The institution task is to prepare standards for all article, product, methods and services, only passed by the institution are called BSTI


Main functions/ Responsibility of BSTI
  1. BSTI is entrusted with responsibility of formulation of national standard of industrial, food and chemical product keeping in view of the regional and international standards.
  2. BSTI is responsible for the quality control of the products which are ensured as per specific national standards made by the technical committees formed by BSTI.
  3. BSTI also responsible for the implementation of metric system a to oversee the accuracy of weights and measures in the country
